Disability Partnerships is a community-based 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to provide support with the social, health and economic issues that are often faced by persons living with paralysis and/or a physical disability. Founded in 2015, Disability Partnerships collaborates across various partner sectors (business, nonprofit, government and education) to achieve goals in the following program areas: education andeconomic empowerment, health and wellness and affordable accessible housing. We set broad goals for each of the program areas and then build an ecosystem of non-profit organizations, government agencies, businesses, and faith-based institutions to achieve each goal.

Disability Partnerships (www.disabilitypartnerships.org) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of improving the quality of life of individuals with physical disabilities. Our programs focus on health and wellness, affordable accessible housing, economic empowerment and education for persons with disabilities.
We are looking for volunteers to serve on our board of directors, and we welcome all skill-sets but are especially interested in persons with policy and legal background (as attorneys or paralegals) for the board. This is a part-time internship with an estimated 10-12 hours per week. We are recruiting for one intern to support the following activities:
The Founder and Executive Director will serve as mentors for the interns and provide guidance and advice. This is an excellent opportunity to develop “real world” experience in the fields of marketing and communication, program development and partnership development.
The internship will focus on the professional development of the intern and is sponsored by Disability Partnerships. It is structured to provide significant work experiences and provide opportunities for in-depth research and analysis. Interns are expected to take on a great deal of responsibility quickly. The internship is paid a nominal stipend.
