Disability Partnerships Scholarship

Disability Partnerships awarded two $1000 scholarships to adults with disabilities returning or entering college. The application deadline was extended to October 31st, 2023! We thank everyone for their participation. We're here to help you take a step closer to your academic aspirations.

The scholarship recipient must meet the following requirements;

· US Citizen or legal permanent resident
· Enrolled in and seeking an associate or bachelor’s degree or a professional certificate in the US –- OR –
· Attending courses toward completion at a trade school, also referred to as vocational schools, technical schools, or career colleges, that are accredited by either the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) or the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
· Must be 18 years of age or older as of the beginning of the targeted education program.
· Applicants must have a disability and provide documentation from a medical professional.
· This is not a merit-based or needs-based scholarship.

General Conditions
· Eligibility – You may apply for the opportunity to be awarded this scholarship if you meet the eligibility requirements as indicated and submit the application within the eligibility time frame.
· Application – No purchase, payment or donation is required.
Selection – Submitted and accepted scholarship applications will be reviewed by members of the Board of Directors of Disability Partnerships to determine the winner. All decisions regarding the scholarship, including without limitation the selection of the winner, shall be final and binding in all respects. Disability Partnerships reserves the right to not award a scholarship, if in its sole discretion, it does not receive any qualified applications.
· Notification – The selected scholarship recipient will be notified using the contact information as provided by the applicant in the application process. Scholarship recipients may be subject to verification of eligibility. Applicants hereby warrant that all information provided in their application and otherwise in connection with the scholarship is complete and accurate. If an award notification is returned as undeliverable or a potential winner does not provide the required verification within the specified time, the award will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate recipient at the sole discretion of Disability Partnerships.
· Awarding - After successful notification of a scholarship award and verification, Disability Partnerships will provide payment of the award to the scholarship winner’s accredited academic institution to be applied towards tuition after receiving proof of enrollment. Unless otherwise stated, no scholarship monies will be paid directly to the winner.
· General Terms - Scholarship recipients, by acceptance of their award, agree to release Disability Partnerships, its employees, representatives, agents, contractors, assigns, advertisers, officers, and directors from any and all liability, loss, damage, cost, claim arising out of their participation in the scholarship. Disability Partnerships reserves the right to modify or terminate scholarships at any time for any reason in its sole discretion, with or without notice. The scholarship winner is solely responsible for any state or federal tax liability in association with acceptance of a scholarship. If any provision of the terms and conditions of a scholarship or these Official Scholarship Rules shall be held void, voidable, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Disability Partnerships is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any academic institution.
