Disability Partnerships: 2022 Year in Review

The promise of a new year is here, and even though we are well into February - there is still time to share our 2022 year in review. It was an incredible year full of accomplishments. I’m so proud to say that Disability Partnerships accomplished so much in 2022 with our programs, events, and partnership opportunities. If you're unfamiliar with our organization, Disability Partnerships is staffed by volunteers who either have disabilities themselves or have knowledge of and experience with loved ones who have disabilities.

As someone with a severe physical disability, I’m all too familiar with the impact of inflation on my healthcare expenses and, specifically, the cost of caregiving.

Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on everyday life, people with disabilities are facing strains on their mental and emotional health at even higher levels than pre-pandemic times. This, in addition to an increase in remote work has led to social and professional isolation. Currently, there are several studies being conducted to explore the impact of these factors on mental health within the disability community.
